Casting Begins On The New Harry Osborn!

So casting for the new rebooted version of Harry Osborn is underway over in Hollywood. Actors like Dane DeHaan (Chronicle), Alden Ehrenreich (auditioned for role of Peter Parker for this reboot series), Brady Corbet (24) and Sam Clafin (Hunger Games 2) are just some of the actors who are in talks for the role of Peter Parkers best friend turn enemy. Ehrenreich and DeHaan have been rumored to be the studios top choices for the role.

Andrew Garfield Confirms Shoot Date For Spidey Sequel!

While on "Ellen", new Spidey Andrew Garfield has confirmed that "The Amazing Spider-Man 2" will begin filming in February next year. He also said that the script is great and that he looks forward to returning to the role of Peter Parker aka Spider-Man. He also goes on to talk about Emma Stone, who plays Gwen Stacy in the new films and who is also is real life girlfriend.
While I'm on the subject of "The Amazing Spider-Man 2", it's been speculated that Jamie Foxx has been confirmed for the role of Electro. "Homeland" actor Damien Lewis, passed on the role but is looking to play Norman Osborn instead. Both Norman and Harry are expected to pop up in the second film which will lead into the third and final film in "The Amazing Spider-Man" trilogy..........well for now it's only three films.

Marc Webb Confirms New Suit In Spidey Sequel!

After a few days of speculation on a possibly new Spidey suit in "The Amazing Spider-Man 2", Marc Webb has confirmed, via his Twitter, that a new suit will appear in the sequel. He said that the eyes will be bigger and that there will be new web-shooters too. 

"Bigger eyes. Gnarly web shooters."

He also confirmed himself about the casting of Shailene Woodley as Mary-Jane Watson as well. 

"YES! She's the jam - love her, look forward to working with her in ASM2."

Spidey Getting New Suit In Sequel?

Reports are suggesting that Andrew Garfield will be donning a brand-new Spidey suit in Marc Webb's "Amazing Spider-Man" sequel. One report is saying that the new suit will be more traditional like the one in the comics and the one that Tobey McGuire wore in his trilogy of Spidey films directed by Sam Raimi.
I love the new suit in "The Amazing Spider-Man", but I would like to see them try out another one or two just for a change up. This could be interesting to see and some fans will go for it and others will hate it, but you'll always find this.

Marc Webb Confirms "Amazing Spider-Man 2" Villain & Jamie Foxx In Running For Role?

After tones of speculation, "Amazing Spider-Man" director Marc Webb has confirmed that Electro will be the main villain in "The Amazing Spider-Man 2". Rumors on the casting are suggesting that Jamie Foxx is in the running and is very close to getting the role as a BIG-screen black version of the classic comic-book villain. Speculation on Foxx rose after he tweeted the following,

"Dressed up as Electro for Halloween last night," and "Costume fits well."

Personally I think that Foxx would and could be good if he got the role. Yeah he's black, but I think it's great that Hollywood continue to shake things up with casting black people in white peoples roles and vice-versa. Nothing has been confirmed yet, but I'm sure that'll just be right around the corner. 

Webb Directing "Spidey 2" After All?

According to The LA Times, the BIG bosses over at Sony are desperate in getting Marc Webb back to direct "The Amazing Spider-Man 2" for them. The only bad thing is that he has a contract with Fox to direct one more film for them first. But Sony want the Spidey sequel out by 2014 and Fox want him to do their film first.
This problem has came to a very reasonable conclusion, Fox have seen sense and are letting Webb direct "Spidey 2" first, but only if he ups his contract to two more films with Fox though. Now that does seem pretty reasonable to me don't you think?!

Sony Confirm "Amazing Spider-Man 3" Via Facebook!

Just days after the release of "The Amazing Spider-Man", Sony have confirmed via "The Amazing Spider-Man" Facebook page that there is going to be a trilogy to the reboot film now. Sony announced a second film a few months back with a May 2014 release and now we're getting a third one too.

It's finally here! The Amazing Spider-Man is the first installment in a movie trilogy that will explore how our fave hero's journey was shaped by the disappearance of his parents.

There's no release date confirmed for the third one, but we can assume that it'll probably be out for around 2016, two years after the second one.

Garfield's Spider-Man To Web-Sling Into "Avengers" Sequel?

There's been speculation for months and months saying that the new Spider-Man, Andrew Garfield is set to pop up in the next "Avengers" film alongside Iron Man and the gang. Even though it may just be a cameo, after seeing these pics below, it makes it looks as though he may in fact be getting ready to do something in the next film.

It was widely rumored that Garfield was appearing in a cameo in the first "Avengers" film, but director Joss Whedon quickly confirmed that that wasn't happening. So maybe he's got a chance to appear this time around. The Avengers headquarters is set in New York where Spider-Man is, so why can't he just pop up in it with them? Only time will tell. Maybe Sam Jackson's Nick Fury will appear at the end of "The Amazing Spider-Man 2" and tell Garfield's Peter Parker "It's time!".

My Spoiler Free Review Of "The Amazing Spider-Man"

I know I haven't done a review on well anything in ages, so I thought I'd start them again. So here's my review of "The Amazing Spider-Man" and yes it's going to be spoiler free. 
Well what can I say, the film was was pretty amazing after all. It stood on it's own grounds and hasn't copied anything from the previous films. It was darker and more brutal when it came to the fight scenes. It had it's sad moments, it had it funny moments, it even had it's bloody shocking moments and well obviously, it had it's outstanding moments. Visually it was absolutely stunning. There's less CGI, and even when that was used, it was well better than the first film away back 10 years ago. I feel that the films director, Marc Webb gave the film some true realism, kind of like Christopher Nolan's "Batman" franchise. Now I'm not comparing it to that totally, but it sticks to that type of tone, look and feel.
New Spidey, Andrew Garfield was so, well more human than Tobey McGuire's Spidey/Peter Parker. Once he became Spidey, he was a lot cockier,but come on.....surely that's allowed. Cocky is fun, whereas McGuire's still stayed "all goody too shoes" on us. At times you felt more sorry for him, especially near the end, but I ain't saying nothing there because this is a "spoiler free" review. 
When it comes to miss Emma Stone, well I can't say anything bad about Stone playing the very blonde and sexy Gwen Stacey, because she is a saint and I love her. All joking aside, the chemistry between her and Garfield's Peter Parker was convincing, even more convincing than the chemistry between McGuire's Parker and Kirsten Dunst as Mary-Jane Watson, which is reportedly appearing in the sequel to this reboot. Not Dunst, just the MJ character. I really hope Mary Elizabeth Winstead gets the role. 
When it comes to the films main plot, I really don't want to give much away, but it's so well put together, that when it comes to the end.............you seriously wish it wasn't, much like "Avengers Assemble". The origins of Parker and his parents play a big part in the film and this is where Dr Curt Connors comes in to the story. Connors is played by Brit, Rhys Ifans. Connors knows something about Parkers past and more about his dad than anyone, so he's got much to tell him and well keep from him as you'll find out. Again, like I said, I don't want to give much away. Just go and see it and enjoy it like I did.
If I was to compare it to the first three films, I'd definitely say that this was much much better than the third, an upgrade from the very first and well not as good as the second one, when it comes to the lead villain, but that's okay because the rest of the film was bloody brilliant. I'd definitely give it 9/10, because I didn't really feel as though Rhys Ifans was convincing enough. I felt sorry for him at times, but he could have been a weeeee bit better for me to give it the full 10. 
Over all this truly is a fantastic reinvention of a much loved franchise and I hope people love it as much as I did. If it does as well as hoped, a sequel will definitely definitely definitely be swinging around the corner, well even though it's already happening, but then again it could have got cancelled if this one was crap!!!

Flash Thompson Talks About "Man Of Steel" & Upcoming "Batman" Reboot!

"True Blood" star and ex-Flash Thompson, Joe Manganiello spoke to ComicBookMovie.com about how he lost out in playing Clark Kent/Superman because of his role in "True Blood". Manganiello was once in the running for the lead role in Zach Snyder's "Man Of Steel", but lost out to Brit, Henry Cavill. "True Blood" gave him the chance, but "True Blood" also took that chance away from him.

This is what Manganiello said about his chance with playing Superman, "Well, I mean, the thing about Superman was it... I mean, I know the right one is out there for me... there wasn’t anything I could do with Superman. There was interest from every single possible angle on that project, and the reason they were interested was because of TRUE BLOOD. From the director, to casting, to the producers involved, it was all because of TRUE BLOOD, that was why I was in the running. And at the end of the day, it was TRUE BLOOD’s schedule that kept me from doing it. There’s just no human way possible I could be in two places at once when I’m contracted to be on TRUE BLOOD," He then was asked about what it would be like to get the lead role of Bruce Wayne/Batman in next years planned reboot, "From your mouth to God’s ears, man. I mean of course, I grew up, as a kid, I read comic books, and I watched every single comic book movie that ever... You know, I was a big sci-fi fan, I was just that kid. I’m a fanboy at heart. So, yeah, that is on my radar."

Webb Might Not Be Back To Direct Spidey Sequel!

The director of "The Amazing Spider-Man", Marc Webb has mentioned that he may or may not be back to direct the 2014 planned sequel to his upcoming Spidey 3D reboot. He said, "Well, it's a long ... People ask about the sequel and I'm like, (Well, you know, I don't know if I want to do that, but I love the process.) I love Andrew and Emma. But it's like asking someone who has just given birth, "Do you want to get pregnant again?"
Surely he'll come back for the sequel and if it's lucky, the third part. He can make this his trilogy, like Christopher Nolan and well ex-Spider-Man director, Sam Raimi. Both directors stayed on for a whole trilogy and have their signature move and direction with their trilogy. I assume Webb will have his too, so why spoil it and leave after one film. Someone new could come on and ruin the second film for all of us. I generally think that directors should stay on and direct sequels of their first film.
