The "Justice League" Line-Up Revealed?

A rumored line-up for the 2015 "Justice League" live-action film has been leaked online. It reveals that Henry Cavill's Superman and Ryan Reynolds's Green Lantern could actually appear in the upcoming planned DC Cinematic Universe after all.
It's been rumored for ages that there would be two split universes. One was the planned reboot "Batman" franchise and the upcoming "Man Of Steel" franchise and the other was going to just be based on the "Justice League". Now it seems that it could be all one universe.
Here's the line-up, courtesy of ComingSoon.net:
• Superman is essentially the same character from Man of Steel, and Zack Snyder is consulting regarding the writing of the character.
• Batman: The strategist of the group. Batman doesn't really want to be involved with these super powered beings he considers too powerful. Easily the most complex written.
• Wonder Woman: She has only been in man's world a few short months. The Wonder Woman script Michael Goldenberg is developing will be set before the Justice League movie. 
• Green Lantern: Will be Ryan Reynold's character from the Green Lantern movie, but will be freshly written with a more serious tone.
• Flash: The most popular hero in civilian eyes who loves media attention, but when called upon is very serious.
• Martian Manhunter: Alien who has lived on Earth in secret for over a hundred years who has knowledge of Darkseid and his reign. 
• Aquaman: Will be the King of Atlantis who has a key role in the film.
• There will also be a heavy military presence in the film which in future rewrites could include characters featured in Man of Steel or even Amanda Waller (Angela Bassett) of which neither are included in the first draft.
• Alfred Pennyworth is in the film in a minor appearance.
• Lois Lane is also in the film in a cameo.
• Darkseid's Elite will be featured who go up against the Justice League early on in the film.

Joseph Gordon-Levitt Playing The Next Batman After All And Snyder And Cavill Involved In "Justice League" Film Too?

Reports online are strongly suggesting that Joseph Gordon-Levitt is in meetings over at Warner to star as the new Batman in their "Justice League" BIG-screen movie. It's been rumored for ages that Levitt could be the next Batman in either a direct sequel to Chris Nolan's film series or crossover and enter into the "Justice League" film universe when it begins in 2015. 
Online sites were suggesting that Warner were going to clean the slate and cast a brand new Batman for both the "Justice" universe and the solo Batman reboot series, but now that may not be the case after all. John Blake could be Batman rather than go back and re-create Bruce Wayne again. 
Fans, including me, didn't like the idea of two Batmen and the same going for Superman, two different Supermen on-screen. Maybe Warner have listened to fans and thought, "Fuck it, let's bring back Levitt and keep him as Batman from now on."...........well hopefully, because this is just a MASSIVE rumor. 
Zach Snyder did though let slip that he and his Superman, Henry Cavill, could be apart of the planned "Justice" film after all, rather than the split universe. I would rather see Cavill come back rather than two different actors playing the same hero on-screen.............POINTLESS!!! 
When Snyder was asked about his involvement in the "Justice" film, he said, 

"I can’t really say anything to that, because that’s a big spoiler. I will say, yeah, they trust me to keep them on course."

He also added,

"I don’t know how ‘Justice League’ is going to be handled. Honestly, I don’t, but ‘The Man of Steel’ exists, and Superman is in it. I don’t know how you’d move forward without acknowledging that."

UPDATE: Hollywood.com have reported that Gordon-Levitt's reps have denied the rumor of him appearing in the "Justice League" film as John Blake. Reps have denied things before and it's turned out true though.

Holden McNeil To Direct "Justice League" Film?

So it looks like Warner are racing ahead to get a BIG-screen live-action "Justice League" film up and running again in time for it to go head-2-head with Marvel's "Avengers" sequel in around 2015ish. The minute Marvel announced that Joss Whedon was returning to direct "The Avengers 2", DC and Warner rushed in and announced that the long-awaited "Justice League" film was looking for a key director to get the superhero on the BIG-screens. The said that they are looking at Ben Affleck to take the rains of the big budget film.
Apparently now Affleck has gave Warner and big fat "NO!!!" to the project. Variety magazine confirmed this yesterday after the word broke out from Warner Bros. that this was in the planning. Affleck obviously just feels that he's not up for the challenge just yet, maybe some day though.
See what happens when a studio opens their big mouths and says something out loud without thinking about it first. Probably if they spoke to Affleck in a meeting instead of announcing it and him hearing it from someone else, then maybe he would have said "maybe"................silly Warner!
Warner haven't thought any of this through though. Yes they had the "Justice League" filming in development since like 2004/5, but nothing has ever really picked up. Marvel on the other hand have released film after film after film, leading up to the main event that was "Avengers Assemble" or "Marvel's The Avengers".

We had background stories from each character, they crossed-over to let each other be known to each other and get ready for the assemble. Warner and DC are just planning to dive right into a "Justice League" film with a new Batman, probably a new Green Lantern, a Wonder Woman, a Flash and well let's hope.......Henry Cavill and Zach Snyder's Superman, rather than some other guy who we know nothing about.

DC and Warner are planning to release all stand-alone character films after the "Justice League" film, which personally I think is kind of a big mistake! Let them be known to the fans first before throwing them into the deep end with new actors, Superman, Batman and Green Lantern and new looks. marvel worked hard and achieved so much, whereas DC could fail, but only time will tell.

My "Dark Knight Rises" Review!

It's been like two weeks or so since I saw Christopher Nolan's final chapter in the EPIC "Dark Knight" trilogy, which I know consider it as "THE TRILOGY". I saw it on the first day it was released, as I usually do with all BIG films.
Obviously the build up to it was amazing. It looked so EPIC, but a part of me was still asking, "Can Nolan pull this one off after the last film?" and now that I've seen it, I can say that it was a brilliant film, with so much action, breath-taking fight scenes, sad moments, great acting and a well deserved ending to end the trilogy off in an extremely satisfying way, but it wasn't "The Dark Knight". Bane was a good villain to end the three films, but he wasn't thee villain. Heath Ledger's Joker was thee villain of the reboot franchise. Bane was sadistic as fuck, well more than the Joker, but the Joker had something that Bane never, good lines, the shock factor and the scare factor. The Joker was messed up. Bane took down Batman physically whereas the Joker took batman down mentally. You didn't know what was coming next, whereas Bane, you began to know what was coming next, and that is something you don't want. His voice was the best part, like I said, he never had great lines, some were good, but not as cringe worthy as Jokers, but just that voice.......FUCK ME!!!
Story wise, it starts off with "hermit" Bruce Wayne hidden away in his mansion wanting nothing to do with the world. Then he realises that he must rise up and become Batman again because Bane's rolled into town wanting to cause chaos. Batman rises and meets Bane, Batman falls. Batman goes away for a while and learns how to rise again, but this time........stronger! He does and returns to plan his next move on how to take Bane on in round 2. Batman falls slightly again. Batman thinks "FUCK YOU BANE!!!" and comes back for the final round which leads to a triumphant ending. Finally Batman...........well I think I've said too much on that. That's not what the films only about, there are other parts to the film. I'm just saying this so I don't have to type up every bit of detail. You get the just from this. Some sites are doing a full-on spoiler review and telling people not to read it whereas I'm do a short review, without any spoilers at all, which is hard to do with this film. I really can't say much about the story without giving much away. There were times where you did think, "fucking hurry up and get to the point" and I wasn't the only person thinking this, but yes it still was a brilliant film, but it wasn't the best. Now I don't want to give much away if you still haven't seen it yet. You'll know what I mean when I said that it's not "The Dark Knight" but is still really good, I mean Nolan could never do what he did with the last film to this film, it's highly impossible.
At points, the story does drag on which gets really annoying, but then fans are hit with lots of action that make up for the slow parts. And the film is pretty long, like 2 hours and 40 something minutes. Bit more than the last one. It's a good thing and a bad thing. You want to keep seeing more and you wish it never ends, then you're hit with the slow boring parts and then you think the film should've been shorter.
Christian Bale's Bruce Wayne/Batman is trying so hard in this film. He truly is fighting for Gotham in this one, I will give him that. There are times where he just gives up and you think, "Get the fuck up!!!" but yeah, Bale is at his best this time round. The scenes with Bane are the breath-taking moments in the film. That and the "rise again" moments, which some times did drag on though, but they got better. He went through shit in this film. He was put to the test from the minute he met Bane to the end! One more thing, I loved the grey side hair that Bale dawned in the film. The grey really gave Wayne a slightly older look as though he's been Batman for like 20 years.
Anne Hathaway's Selina Kyle/Catwoman was indeed the beez-kneez! People didn't take to well to her at first, me included, but when you first see her, she's fucking amazing. I fell in love with her straight away. There's a certain shot in the film where I think Nolan just wanted to please the fan boys. Not telling you which shot, but you'll know what i mean when you see it. If you have seen it, you'll definitely know what I'm talking about!
There are so much characters to talk about and I don't want to give much away on them. Joseph Gordon Levitt should be in a cop film because he's good at playing a cop for sure, so yeah I ain't saying anymore on him. At times, I thought that there was a bit too many characters. Some had more screen time than others, not naming them and others never had enough, again not naming them. I felt as though it was like a mashed up "Avengers" film, and yes I'll probably get kicked in the balls for saying that, but it's true. All characters in "The Avengers" flowed perfectly and all were on and off screen for a certain amount of time, whereas here, they didn't.
Now let's talk about the lead up to the ending of all comic book movie endings. This has got to be the best ending ever thought of in a comic book ending. I was crying, cheering and gob-smacked all at the same time. Like I said above, it's so satisfying and literally rounds up the three films and ties up all the loose ends. The action throughout the end is just full-on. You are at the edge of your seat from the start of the end scenes to the.......well end shot.
All in all I'd give "The Dark Knight Rises" a whopping 8 out of 10. Nolan and the whole cast and crew have done fans proud with this trilogy. Even though the film wasn't perfect, it sure ended a true farewell to the franchise I just hope the next "Batman" will be as good as these ones. Please don't fuck up Warner!!!

Nolans Goodbye Message To His "The Dark Knight" Franchise!

This beautiful farewell message by director Chris Nolan, has been taken from "The Art And Making Of The Dark Knight Trilogy" book,

Alfred. Gordon. Lucius. Bruce . . . Wayne. Names that have come to mean so much to me. Today, I’m three weeks from saying a final good-bye to these characters and their world. It’s my son’s ninth birthday. He was born as the Tumbler was being glued together in my garage from random parts of model kits. Much time, many changes. A shift from sets where some gunplay or a helicopter were extraordinary events to working days where crowds of extras, building demolitions, or mayhem thousands of feet in the air have become familiar.

People ask if we’d always planned a trilogy. This is like being asked whether you had planned on growing up, getting married, having kids. The answer is complicated. When David and I first started cracking open Bruce’s story, we flirted with what might come after, then backed away, not wanting to look too deep into the future. I didn’t want to know everything that Bruce couldn’t; I wanted to live it with him. I told David and Jonah to put everything they knew into each film as we made it. The entire cast and crew put all they had into the first film. Nothing held back. Nothing saved for next time. They built an entire city. Then Christian and Michael and Gary and Morgan and Liam and Cillian started living in it. Christian bit off a big chunk of Bruce Wayne’s life and made it utterly compelling. He took us into a pop icon’s mind and never let us notice for an instant the fanciful nature of Bruce’s methods.

I never thought we’d do a second—how many good sequels are there? Why roll those dice? But once I knew where it would take Bruce, and when I started to see glimpses of the antagonist, it became essential. We re-assembled the team and went back to Gotham. It had changed in three years. Bigger. More real. More modern. And a new force of chaos was coming to the fore. The ultimate scary clown, as brought to terrifying life by Heath. We’d held nothing back, but there were things we hadn’t been able to do the first time out—a Batsuit with a flexible neck, shooting on Imax. And things we’d chickened out on—destroying the Batmobile, burning up the villain’s blood money to show a complete disregard for conventional motivation. We took the supposed security of a sequel as license to throw caution to the wind and headed for the darkest corners of Gotham.

I never thought we’d do a third—are there any great second sequels? But I kept wondering about the end of Bruce’s journey, and once David and I discovered it, I had to see it for myself. We had come back to what we had barely dared whisper about in those first days in my garage. We had been making a trilogy. I called everyone back together for another tour of Gotham. Four years later, it was still there. It even seemed a little cleaner, a little more polished. Wayne Manor had been rebuilt. Familiar faces were back—a little older, a little wiser . . . but not all was as it seemed.

Gotham was rotting away at its foundations. A new evil bubbling up from beneath. Bruce had thought Batman was not needed anymore, but Bruce was wrong, just as I had been wrong. The Batman had to come back. I suppose he always will.

Michael, Morgan, Gary, Cillian, Liam, Heath, Christian . . . Bale. Names that have come to mean so much to me. My time in Gotham, looking after one of the greatest and most enduring figures in pop culture, has been the most challenging and rewarding experience a filmmaker could hope for. I will miss the Batman. I like to think that he’ll miss me, but he’s never been particularly sentimental.

My "Batman" Reboot Trilogy Cast (Film 2-The Caped Crusader Returns)

So here's my cast for the second film in the "Batman" reboot trilogy, "The Caped Crusader Returns". The roles of Batman, Alfred, Commissioner Gordon and Vicky Vale are the same, but I've placed them in this anyways in case you never read the first films cast.

 Michael Fassbender is a terrific actor and he plays some very good and convincing villains. I think he would be perfect as the man to bring Black Mask to life on the BIG-screen, but in the form of the Roman Sionis character and not the Jeremiah Arkham character. 

Christina Hendricks As Pamela Isley/Poison Ivy

Hendricks was aways my first choice for the role of Pamela Isley aka Poison Ivy. I mean just look at her!!! She's super hot, she's got the perfect shape of body for the role of Poison Ivy and she's a natural red head. Poison Ivy was never done quite right when Uma Thurman played her in 1997's car wreck of a Batman film, "Batman & Robin". Let's give the character another chance at appearing on the BIG-screens.

My "Batman" Reboot Trilogy Cast (Film 1-The Caped Crusader)

Now I know I've already done a "my casting" on the planned "Batman" reboot, but I thought I'd give it a second shot and do another one. This time it's the cast for a trilogy. This the cast for the first film, "The Caped Crusader".
There are mega changes to this one with some new characters and actors added to it to. I'd say that the film shouldn't go back and show us the origins of Batman. It should be like Tim Burton's "Batman", just have him being batman already, rather than back to square one again. 

 Ryan Gosling As Bruce Wayne/Batman

I chose Ryan Gosling because I loved him in "Drive". In that he played a lonely shadowed out from the world type character and I think Bruce Wayne/Batman has always been like that too, so that's why I thought he'd be perfect. I cast Michael Fassbender as Batman in my first casting, but he's already Magneto and now he's signed on to play the Assassin in the "Assassin's Creed" live-action film, plus Gosling needs a superhero role.

Scarlett Johansson As Vicky Vale

Johansson is blonde, she's smart, she's sexy and I think that fanboys would be drooling over here again and again. I know she's Black Widow in "Avengers Assemble", but she could totally cross-over and play sexy photographer Vicky Vale in the first film to the planned "Batman" reboot trilogy. I'd have her in my reboot trilogy for sure!

Matthew Goode As Edward Nigma/The Riddler

At some point Warner Bros are going to have bring The Riddler back to the BIG-screens. Matthew Goode should be that certain actor to bring The Riddler into the 21st Century. He was so sneaky and bad when he played Ozymandias in Zach Snyder's "Watchmen".

Malcolm McDowell As Alfred

 I've always liked Malcolm McDowell and I think he deserves to finish his career starring in an EPIC franchise. And what more of an EPIC franchise to finish in than the "Batman" franchise.

Brian Cranston As Commissioner Jim Gordon

I can't think of any other actor other than Gary Oldman, who could play Commissioner Gordon to a pee than Brian Cranston. He's a fan favorite and he's also my favorite. Him and Gosling had great chemistry in "Drive". They could bring that to this much loved franchise too.

The Dark Knights Triumphant Journey Trailer!

A trailer of Nolan's "Batman" trailer has been released featuring footage from 2005's "Batman Begins", 2008's "The Dark Knight" and this summer's "The Dark Knight Rises". The trailer is very good. It's not as good as the one shown at the MTV Movie Awards, but I can't seem to find that one. That was a very emotional video. Batman has been through some heavy shit in this amazing trilogy. No other Batman will go through what Bale's Batman has went through. Now I haven't seen the last one yet, but look at what he's going up against. He's fucked!!!

Nolan & Bale Not Involved With The "JLA" Live-Action Film Or Anymore Batman!

In two different interviews, both director Christopher Nolan and actor Christian Bale were asked about the possibilities of returning for one, a "BATMAN 4" and two, the planned "Justice League" film. Nolan said that he is just completely done with the Batman universe and will not be part of the "Justice League" film in any sort of way. 

"No, none at all," Nolan said. "We're finished with all we're doing with Batman. This is the end of our take on this character.
Batman will outlive us all, and our interpretation was ours. Obviously, we consider it definitive and kind of finished. The great thing about Batman is he lives on for future generations to reinterpret, and obviously, Warner's will have to decide in the future what they're going to do with him. We've had our say on the character. ...
I've got no plans to do anything more, and certainly, no involvement with any 'Justice League' project."

So this must mean that him and his producer wife will definitely not be producing Warner's next reboot of Batman, which is under the working title of "The Batman". Originally they were both to be involved, but it looks like they ain't anymore. 

As for Christian Bale, he says that unless Nolan says he wants do do a fourth film, then he won't be back either for a "BATMAN 4" and he also said that he's heard nothing about him appearing as Batman in the planned "Justice League" film. 
"Well, I mean, you know; gun to my head I certainly can't give you an answer about that. But I'm really the wrong person to ask. It's down to Chris, and I think that he's been pretty definitive about this being the final chapter."
"I've not spoken with anybody about that. I don't know that that's in-keeping with Chris's world of Batman. I don't know."

Flash Thompson Talks About "Man Of Steel" & Upcoming "Batman" Reboot!

"True Blood" star and ex-Flash Thompson, Joe Manganiello spoke to ComicBookMovie.com about how he lost out in playing Clark Kent/Superman because of his role in "True Blood". Manganiello was once in the running for the lead role in Zach Snyder's "Man Of Steel", but lost out to Brit, Henry Cavill. "True Blood" gave him the chance, but "True Blood" also took that chance away from him.

This is what Manganiello said about his chance with playing Superman, "Well, I mean, the thing about Superman was it... I mean, I know the right one is out there for me... there wasn’t anything I could do with Superman. There was interest from every single possible angle on that project, and the reason they were interested was because of TRUE BLOOD. From the director, to casting, to the producers involved, it was all because of TRUE BLOOD, that was why I was in the running. And at the end of the day, it was TRUE BLOOD’s schedule that kept me from doing it. There’s just no human way possible I could be in two places at once when I’m contracted to be on TRUE BLOOD," He then was asked about what it would be like to get the lead role of Bruce Wayne/Batman in next years planned reboot, "From your mouth to God’s ears, man. I mean of course, I grew up, as a kid, I read comic books, and I watched every single comic book movie that ever... You know, I was a big sci-fi fan, I was just that kid. I’m a fanboy at heart. So, yeah, that is on my radar."

Warner Bros Getting Ready To Make More DC Comic Films!

Now I know this is news from a few weeks back, but I haven't yet reported it so here it is. Warner execs have announced that they are planning to make much more DC Comic films than before. They are said to be going along the lines of what Marvel have been doing with their "Avnegers" films and the stand-alone films for each of the characters in the main film. They announced that the "Justice League" film is back on and it's said that the script is much more dark and mature than Marvel's "Avengers Assemble" script. 

"Kick-Ass" creator Mark Millar, gave some news on the script, "A pal of mine is good friends with the new Justice League screenwriter and said his take on the team is incredible. Very real-world and not at all what you might expect. WB has a chequered history with their superhero characters. They're great with their boy wizards, but less consistent with their DC stable. But my chum said that this could be a thing of beauty and has been in the works for a little while now, not just an Avengers knock-off. Best of luck to them. The tidbits I heard sound quite dark and mature, which isn't what I expected. But word on Gangster Squad is great too so I feel this is in really good hands."

There's still no news on when Warner plan to release DC's main event film, but it's still rumored for a 2015 release. Warner, like I said above, plan to have some stand-alone films out before that, like a "Green Lantern 2/Reboot", which is reportedly still starring Ryan Reynolds. The have plans to also finally make a BIG-screen version of female favorite, "Wonder Woman". That film has been in development hell for over 10 years, so hopefully it'll finally see the light of day. The closest updated adaption was the 2011 TV pilot starring Adrianne Palicki. 

Warner are also finishing off on another drafted script for "The Flash", which was once rumored to star "Hangover" star, Bradley Cooper. "Aquaman" and "Lobo" are just two other projects being planned right now. Warner plan to have them all released within the next few years, some before the "Justice League" and some after. 

The reboot of Nolan's "Batman" franchise is also deffo getting a reboot, so that it can be rebooted to lead up to the "Justice League" film. The next "Batman" reboot is under the working title of "The Batman" with Nolan and his wife staying on as producers. There's no news on wether on not Henry Cavill's Superman will make an appearance in the "Justice League" or if that Superman will just have his own universe and Warner will have a "Justice League" Superman being played by a completely different actor all together. I guess like everything else.............we'll just have to wait and see. But I do know that Warner are going ahead with a "Man Of Steel 2" with Cavill, though not sure if director Zach Snyder will be back of not.

Final Trailer For Nolan's Final "Batman" Film!

The final, final, final trailer for this Summers "The Dark Knight Rises" has been released online courtesy of Nokia. I generally think that Warner and DC should just release the whole bloody film online seeing as we've seen so much footage from the final Batman film. There's a lot more of Batman vs Bane in this final trailer, which is so much "shivers down my spine" feel to it, especially the part when Bane walks towards Batman and just says "Mr Wayne" to him.........fucking shiver and a half.
