The New "Man Of Steel" Trailer Has Arrived!

Now, the above screen-shots aren't all in the correct order. The ones where the Man Of Steel is in Iceland and is about to fly are all in order, even the ones when he does eventually fly are too. The others are kind of in order but only those ones and the scenes with him and Amy Adams's Lois Lane.
Well, what can I say about this new trailer.......................IT'S FUCKING AWWWWESOME!!! This trailer gives fans mega amounts of info on the new 2013 reboot. We finally see Henry Cavill in all his glory as the new Man Of Steel and flying. Previous teasers only showed us wide shots of a small CGI figure, whereas here we have close-ups of him flying around and boy is it amazing to see that both Cavill and director Zach Snyder have pulled it off brilliantly. By the looks of it, Superman will rise and fail in this film. It's like, he travels the world to see if it really needs a Superman and then Zod arrives, who is played by Michael Shannon and who is looking good even though we only get one shot of him, all hell breaks loose and the Last Son Of Krypton rises and dawns his nice new glamourised suit.
We see some touching moments of Clark and his mum, played by Diane Lane, both as a child and as an adult. There also seems like there's going to be a hell of a lot of action in this adaption of the long-running DC Comic book franchise. Snyder did promise lots of action, looks like he's kept to his promise.
All in this is such a powerful and moving trailer, much more powerful and moving than the last one. I actually had a tear in my eye when i saw Cavill slowly walk on the ice and fly up into the sky. It's such a magical shot. This truly shows fans that the Man Of Steel can and will be great again!!!

New "Man Of Steel" Poster Finally Revealed!

Finally, a new poster for Zach Snyder's "Man Of Steel" reboot has been released online for fans! It appears that Superman is under arrest, which is very interesting. Why would the man of steel be under arrest? And why isn't he breaking loose either? This is very interesting and I can't wait for the new trailer, which we will all see this month during the release of "The Hobbit-Part 1".

Joseph Gordon-Levitt Playing The Next Batman After All And Snyder And Cavill Involved In "Justice League" Film Too?

Reports online are strongly suggesting that Joseph Gordon-Levitt is in meetings over at Warner to star as the new Batman in their "Justice League" BIG-screen movie. It's been rumored for ages that Levitt could be the next Batman in either a direct sequel to Chris Nolan's film series or crossover and enter into the "Justice League" film universe when it begins in 2015.
Online sites were suggesting that Warner were going to clean the slate and cast a brand new Batman for both the "Justice" universe and the solo Batman reboot series, but now that may not be the case after all. John Blake could be Batman rather than go back and re-create Bruce Wayne again.
Fans, including me, didn't like the idea of two Batmen and the same going for Superman, two different Supermen on-screen. Maybe Warner have listened to fans and thought, "Fuck it, let's bring back Levitt and keep him as Batman from now on."...........well hopefully, because this is just a MASSIVE rumor.
Zach Snyder did though let slip that he and his Superman, Henry Cavill, could be apart of the planned "Justice" film after all, rather than the split universe. I would rather see Cavill come back rather than two different actors playing the same hero on-screen.............POINTLESS!!!
When Snyder was asked about his involvement in the "Justice" film, he said,

"I can’t really say anything to that, because that’s a big spoiler. I will say, yeah, they trust me to keep them on course."
He also added,

"I don’t know how ‘Justice League’ is going to be handled. Honestly, I don’t, but ‘The Man of Steel’ exists, and Superman is in it. I don’t know how you’d move forward without acknowledging that."

UPDATE: Hollywood.com have reported that Gordon-Levitt's reps have denied the rumor of him appearing in the "Justice League" film as John Blake. Reps have denied things before and it's turned out true though.

So Look Who's Not Directing "Star Wars-Episode 7" Then!

So here's some news on the directors who have been sent out the treatment for the new "Star Wars" film and have said no to directing.
First, George Lucas's best friend Steven Spielberg has confirmed that he doesn't want to direct the new film because it's not his genre,

"It is not my genre, I'ts my best friend George's genre."

Second, Quentin Tarantino has commented and confirmed that he's not interested in taking the helm of the new film,

"It is not my genre, I'ts my best friend George's genre."

Third, Zach Snyder has confirmed too that he doesn't want to direct the new film(s) either,

"i just think doing episode 7, 8 and 9 is just a slippery slope." and "would be a lot of effort."

Fourth, JJ Abrams has given a much more detailed reason on why he doesn't want to direct the new films,

"Look, Star Wars is one of my favorite movies of all time. I frankly feel that - I almost feel that, in a weird way, the opportunity for whomever it is to direct that movie, it comes with the burden of being that kind of iconic movie and series. I was never a big Star Trek fan growing up, so for me, working on Star Trek didn't have any of that, you know, almost fatal sacrilege, and so, I am looking forward more then anyone to the next iterations of Star Wars, but I believe I will be going as a paying moviegoer!"

And finally the fifth director was Jon Favreau, who again gave a much detailed reason same as Abrams did,

"I think both J.J. and I come from a generation of people who formed our whole creative persona around what we experienced as kids from watching those films, and I have had the good fortune of working with George (Lucas)and around George, and whether it is doing a voice on Star Wars: The Clone Wars, or being at the Skywalker Ranch mixing Iron Man - so I have been very happy and lucky to just experience the culture that Lucas has created, both in my own life growing up as a kid and professional - whether it was interviewing him at film fetivals on stage, he is just a really wonderful, talented gifted guy who has changed the business so much, so I am just giddy, first and foremost as a fan, to see what happens with it. I think there is a lot of question marks of how they are going to do it, and who they are going to do it with, and what the story is going to be about; but to say that I am not excited about it is definitely an understatement. We'll see."

The "Superman" Theme Tune Will Be Totally Different In New Film!

Zach Snyder has confirmed that the awesome and much loved "Superman" theme tune by the great John Williams will be totally re-written for the upcoming "Man Of Steel" reboot. Hans Zimmer will take control of all music for the new film and he's said to be doing "something awesome." Here's what Snyder had to say about the sudden change in music,

"We decided to act as if no Superman film had been made - even though we love the films that have been made. We had to say this is a Superman movie for the first time and you can't then go 'Oh, now let's steal a little music. So, yes it's awesome music but Hans Zimmer is going to do something awesome."

In a way I do have faith with Zimmer and the choice to go with this extremely bold move with the music. Zimmer has composed some amazing music, not just for "The Dark Knight" trilogy, but for "Inception", "Gladiator", "The Da Vinci Code", the list could go on.

Holden McNeil To Direct "Justice League" Film?

So it looks like Warner are racing ahead to get a BIG-screen live-action "Justice League" film up and running again in time for it to go head-2-head with Marvel's "Avengers" sequel in around 2015ish. The minute Marvel announced that Joss Whedon was returning to direct "The Avengers 2", DC and Warner rushed in and announced that the long-awaited "Justice League" film was looking for a key director to get the superhero on the BIG-screens. The said that they are looking at Ben Affleck to take the rains of the big budget film.
Apparently now Affleck has gave Warner and big fat "NO!!!" to the project. Variety magazine confirmed this yesterday after the word broke out from Warner Bros. that this was in the planning. Affleck obviously just feels that he's not up for the challenge just yet, maybe some day though.
See what happens when a studio opens their big mouths and says something out loud without thinking about it first. Probably if they spoke to Affleck in a meeting instead of announcing it and him hearing it from someone else, then maybe he would have said "maybe"................silly Warner!
Warner haven't thought any of this through though. Yes they had the "Justice League" filming in development since like 2004/5, but nothing has ever really picked up. Marvel on the other hand have released film after film after film, leading up to the main event that was "Avengers Assemble" or "Marvel's The Avengers".
We had background stories from each character, they crossed-over to let each other be known to each other and get ready for the assemble. Warner and DC are just planning to dive right into a "Justice League" film with a new Batman, probably a new Green Lantern, a Wonder Woman, a Flash and well let's hope.......Henry Cavill and Zach Snyder's Superman, rather than some other guy who we know nothing about.
DC and Warner are planning to release all stand-alone character films after the "Justice League" film, which personally I think is kind of a big mistake! Let them be known to the fans first before throwing them into the deep end with new actors, Superman, Batman and Green Lantern and new looks. marvel worked hard and achieved so much, whereas DC could fail, but only time will tell.
