Wolverine Back For "Days Of Future Past"

While in an interview, promoting his new film adaption of hit musical, "Les Miserables", Hugh Jackman confirmed that he will indeed be returning to the role of Wolverine again for the 7th time in the "X-Men" franchise that's expanded throughout 14 years ("The Wolverine" in 2013 and "Days Of Future Past" in 2014).
Here's what Jackman said about returning to the role again after next years solo Wolverine film,

"There is an X-Men: First Class sequel, which Bryan Singer is directing, as you know. Which I think is awesome. It started with Bryan Singer. I know the fans are super excited. I did a three-hour, three word cameo in the last one. It literally took me three hours. As long as it took me to audition for Les Miserables. I have been talking to Bryan Singer about doing something in this. There will be more claws in this. The three is getting a little dull. Four maybe? I like that."

Stewart & McKellen Are Back!!!

New director of "X-Men: Days Of Future Past", Bryan Singer, has confirmed via Twitter that Sir Patrick Stewart and Sir Ian McKellen are back in the game and are returning to the "X-Men" world by appearing in the upcoming "First Class" sequel.
Singer also confirmed that Jennifer Lawrence, Nicholas Hoult, James McAvoy and Michael Fassbender are all returning too. Hugh Jackman is also expected to return as reports are saying that he's in negotiations right now with Fox to return.

Vaughn Not Directing "First Class 2" But Singer Is!

I've been talking about Bond so much and totally forogt to mention the disapointment that Matthew Vaughn has sadly had to give up helming the highly-anticipated 2014 "X-Men: First Class" sequel, "Days Of Future Past".
There's no official news on why he's left, but rumors have it that he's left because he's directing Mark Millar's "Secret Service" BIG-screen adaption. On a very high note, Bryan Singer, director of the first two "X-Men" films is making his grand return and is taking over from Vaughn in the directing department.
I hate the fact that Matthew Vaughn isn't directing the new film, but come on...............Bryan Singer is back!!! Singer could make this amazing. Might not be as amazing as what Vaughn did, but it could be nearly equal.
Now that Singer is back, there's more rumors that other major characters from his first two "X-Men" films are coming back for the new prequel. Patrick Stewart is confirmed, Famke Janssen, Shawn Ashmore and Daniel Cudmore are all possibly returning as there original roles.

Mark Millar Talks Upcoming "First Class" Sequel!

While chatting with SFX Magazine about his new role over at Fox, Mark Millar commented on what the plan is for Matthew Vaughn's upcoming 2014 "First Class" sequel, "Days Of Future Past".
Here's what Millar said about what to expect from the new "X-Men" film,

"[Matthew] Vaughn is going for a big sci-fi style thing with X-Men: Days of Future Past....(it's) X-Men meets The Terminator. You've got robots, you've got time travel, you've got superheroes - it's got everything in one film. He also said that it is "no spoiler on [his] part" to say that the film goes into an apocalyptic future. Cost-wise it's going to go up, and ambitious-wise it's gone up. But Vaughn can handle it. Vaughn made Kick-Ass for $28 million."

So it all sounds good for fans of the franchise. I think that it will work and there are rumours that the Sentinels could finally be making an appearance in full form like originally planned before in the first "X-Men" film.
Also, amazing news that I never got to blog about because I've been busy is that Patrick Stewart has signed onto future instalments in the "X-Men" franchise. It's rumoured that he's coming back for a possible "X-Men 4", appearing in the upcoming "Wolverine" reboot or the "X-Men: Days Of Future Past" adaption. Famke Jansen, who played Jean Grey in the first three films has also said that she is opened to return to the "X-Men" universe. She's rumoured to be popping up in "The Wolverine" reboot, which could possibly lead into crossing over to the "Days Of Future Past" film.

"First Class" Sequel Will Be Called "X-Men: Days Of Future Past"

Various sites are confirming that Fox have confirmed themselves that the 2014 sequel to Matthew Vaughn's "X-Men: First Class" will indeed be titled "X-Men: Days Of Future Past". The plot of the sequel will be taken straight from the "X-Men" comics story-arc which is also titled "Days Of Future Past". This means that Wolverine, Cyclops, Jean Grey, Rogue, Gambit, Storm and Jubilee will all be the films official "X-Men". The Sentinels will also have to be making an appearance in the film too.
No news on wither Hugh Jackman will return as Wolverine, but I'm sure he will seeing as he's just started filming the sequel/reboot to his own spin-off adventure. And also there's no news on wither some original "X-Men" will return too seeing as the stories plot is all about traveling back and forward through time.

UPDATE: Bryan Singer has confirmed this title for the "First Class" sequel!

Co-Writer Talks "X-Men: First Class 2"

Simon Kinberg, co-writer of the new sequel to Matthew Vaughn's "X-Men" prequel/reboot has said that the sequels is planned out to be, "unlike the other X-Men movies and yet very much a celebration of the X-Men movies.". He also said, "We really went into it, Matthew, Jane and myself, just wanting to create a movie that was as… I’m very proud of First Class… as dramatic as that movie. I think it is as dramatic as that movie, but more epic, mythic in a way as well. So, there are ideas that we’ve started with that haven’t survived, there are ideas that we started with from conversations we had from making First Class that are going to be in the sequel."

"First Class" Get's Official Release Date & Possible Plot Idea And Title!

Fox have officially announced that their highly-anticipated "X-Men: First Class" sequel will get a July 18th, 2014 release date. The also confirmed that production will begin in early 2013 with all of the cast and crew from the first film all returning.
Now it's been rumored that the films plot will follow the "Days Of Future Past" storyline and that the title will then supposedly be "X-Men: First Class-Days Of Future Past" or just plain old "X-Men: Days Of Future Past". Someone over at ComicBookMovie.com commented saying that one of their very reliable sources mentioned that 20th Century Fox had registered the title, "Days Of Future Past" over at the MPAA Title Registration Bureau. This is something very interesting.
Some of "Days Of Future Past" storyline was used at the very very beginning of "X-Men: The Last Stand", which featured basically what's in the picture above, only Wolverine won and decapitated the Sentinel. The popular storyline features the Sentinels, Kitty Pride and Wolverine big time. I take it they will all be in the film then. Can't wait to see the Sentinels on the BIG-screen. They were meant to be in the first and second "X-Men" film, but they got taken out sadly. I wonder if Fox will bring Hugh Jackman in as Wolverine, or recast him???? BIG QUESTION!!!!
