"Lord Of The Rings" Star Turning Strange?

Filming for the 2013 sequel to "THOR" is underway in the UK (set pics on there way) and new rumours have already started. The big main rumour is that Doctor Strange is set to make a brief appearance to set him up for his own film in Marvel's MCU: Phase 3, but he may be included in "The Avengers 2" before his own film.
Casting rumours have started up again on who will portray Strange on the BIG-screen. Actor Joel Edgerton was strongly rumoured to be taking on the role, but now it seems that Aragorn himself, Viggo Mortensen is reportedly in negotiations with Marvel to play a key role in a MCU: Phase 2 film. Fans and online sites are all assuming that it's Doctor Strange after seeing this tweet by some dude on Twitter called Roger Wardell. 

"Inside News: Marvel is in negotiations with Viggo Mortensen for an unspecified role in in one of their Phase 2 films."

"Inside News: There's something "Strange" about Thor: The Dark World."

I guess it would be interesting to see Mortensen as Doctor Strange, but he is a bit too old for the role. I've always thought that the studio would go for a younger actor, but he is an amazing actor, so it could work well. Hopefully this rumour is true then people!!! 

"THOR: The Dark World" And "Captain America: The Winter Solider" Casting News!

Now I'm just reporting this because I never knew about it but it looks like Anthony Mackie will be playing the role of The Falcon in the 2014 "Captain America" sequel, "The Winter Soldier".
On the casting news side for "THOR: The Dark World", actor Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje will be taking on the role of Algrim The Strong, who is one of the dark elf in the "THOR" comics.

"The Avengers 2" Gets It's Official Release Date!

The guys over at Disney confirmed that on May 1st, 2015................THE AVENGERS WILL AGAIN SAVE THE WORLD FROM EVIL!!!
It's rumored that Thanos and Loki will join forces and try to take down the team of superheroes in the highly-anticipated sequel. Thanos was introduced in one of the two post-credits scenes. Thanos is also rumored to be the lead villain in Marvel's "Guardians Of The Universe" live-action film.

He will possibly cross-over with the Guardians into the "Avengers" universe, even though the film is part of "Phase 2" of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), which means it's all one big universe to them.

The Doctor Steps Into "The Dark World"

Ex-Doctor Christopher Eccelston has officially been cast as the lead villain in "THOR: The Dark World". He will be playing evil villain Malekith The Accursed.
This role was originally meant for "Casino Royale" villain Mads Mikkelsen to play, but due to his commitments with the upcoming Hannibal Lector TV show, he had to drop out.

Marvel/Disney Planning Live-Action "Avengers" TV Series!

Marvel/Disney and ABC are said to be planning a new live-action "Avengers" type TV show set in the same Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) as the BIG-screen films. Though the project is still in extremely early development, there's certainly a buzz around Hollywood about the MCU TV show.
 A close insider over at Deadline said this about what he heard about the planned project,  

“I’ve learned that Marvel’s TV division is in conversation with ABC and ABC Studios about doing a drama series in the Avengers world. I hear that the the connection to the Avengers franchise would be light as the project is expected to be set in the universe and feature some of its themes and feel but may not include any characters from Joss Whedon’s blockbuster.”

ABC are still also developing a new live-action "HULK" show, which is still rumored to be set outside the MCU and also "AKA Jessica Jones" series. Again, it's unknown whether "AKA Jessica Jones" will be set in or outside the MCU.......still cool though!

TV's Chuck Will Be Playing Fandral In "THOR 2"

Zachary Levi, who plays Chuck in TV's "Chuck" has confirmed earlier this week on "The Tonight Show With Jay Leno" that he will indeed be taking over the role of Fandral in the upcoming "THOR" sequel. Josh Dallas, who played Fandral in the first "THOR" film, had to leave due to scheduling conflicts.
